Getting To Know Team OPi - Bettina

We would like to introduce our Office Manager, Bettina Adams.  She has been with us for 6 months and has learned a great deal about landscape architecture in that short time. Bettina grew up in Southern California. She graduated from the University of Denver with a BA in Mass Communications. She worked as a catering director at a private country club in San Diego where she met her husband, Tim. They lived and homeschooled their three children in California until they decided to drive across the country to North Carolina, cruise on a sailboat down the Intracoastal Waterways, around the Keys and made Naples their home in 2014.

What do you miss most about California?  Definitely my family.  I come from a close family of six kids who all still live up and down the coast with thier families.  My parents lived only 30 minutes away and we used to have Sunday dinners together.  However, it's hard not to miss the cool summer nights, too.

If you had to eat the same meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mexican street tacos. My family and I made many road trips to Baja and the authenticity of those tacos can't be beat.

You and your family like to travel.  What was your most memorable vacation?  Cruising on a catameran for 10 days in the BVI was probably the most memorable.  But our cruise down the ICW to Florida has some of the funniest stories.

What things do you like to do when you are not at work?  I love fitness.  I workout four times a week and I love to run.  I am very competitive.  I also enjoy shopping with my two teenage daughters, Sailor and Sirena.  My son, Cruise, keeps me busy in other ways.  He's eleven and loves to explore. He loves to bring in lizards, bugs and any type of creature he's found outside with his dog, Fin.  Both of them are usually covered in mud.  So, I am usually cleaning my house, a lot.

If you could change something about yourself what would it be?  I am a neat freak; boarderline OCD.  I'd like to be able to not have to tidy up and clean all the time.  As theraputic as it can be, it's also very exhausting.
